When pressing this secret code on Nokia N73, only the life timer is shown, which is identical to All Calls duration (Menu -> Application -> Log -> Call Duration -> All Calls).

Activate and deactivate EFRC (Enhanced Full Rate Codec) on your Nokia cellphone for the best sound quality, but will in turn reduce talk-time by approximately 5%!

When tested with Nokia 5210, the cellphone restarted, and no significant change has been noted.

Activate and deactivate HRC (Half Rate Codec) on your Nokia cellphone, to use a lower sound quality, but increase the Nokia cellphone talk-time about 30%!

Nothing happen at all when tested on Nokia 5210.

So, this secret GSM code claimed to be able sending free SMS is just a rumor! (Some say this is just a power saving feature.)

The next screen has Transfer User Data? (the same option as the 8110)
To exit turn the phone off and then back on

Sim not restricted message means your phone is NOT sim locked - Check all 4 to be sure
Adding NEW Ring Tones
Set SMSC to +358405202999 (Smart Messaging)
Send a SMS to 99999 with the word TONES in the message.
When you get the reply, edit the message so that the tone that you want does not have a asterisk in front of it.
Now send the message to 99999.
The phone will display NEW RINGTONE RECEIVED
